1. Adidas targeted by theft of internal data 

Adidas recently fell victim to a cyberattack that resulted in the leakage of internal data, including product development documents and HR information. Cybercriminals claimed responsibility for the attack on a hacker forum, claiming to have access to several gigabytes of sensitive data. The company said it was cooperating with the authorities and strengthening its security systems.

2. University of Paris-Saclay hit by ransomware attack 

In May 2025, the University of Paris-Saclay was the target of a ransomware attack that paralyzed part of its IT infrastructure. Some student and research platforms were put out of service. The cybercriminals are demanding a ransom to unlock access to the encrypted data. The school has refused to give in to blackmail and is working with ANSSI to restore services.

3. Marseille hospital targeted by computer attack 

In May 2025, a major hospital in Marseille suffered a computer attack that paralyzed its administrative and medical systems. Emergency services had to be redirected to other facilities. The attackers used sophisticated ransomware, demanding a cryptocurrency ransom. Staff switched to paper mode to maintain care, and a crisis unit was set up with support from ANSSI.

4. Coinbase targeted by large-scale phishing attacks 

Coinbase, the American crypto-asset platform, is facing a wave of highly targeted phishing campaigns. Cybercriminals are exploiting fraudulent SMS messages and emails to extract user IDs and 2FA codes. Coinbase calls for vigilance and recommends the use of strong authentication and offline wallets.

5. Harvest Finance victim of a smart contract exploit 

The DeFi Harvest Finance protocol was exploited via a vulnerability in one of its smart contracts, resulting in an estimated loss of $7 million. The attack, although technically complex, highlights the persistent risks in the poorly auditable DeFi ecosystem. The team has temporarily suspended the protocol and is working to strengthen its security.
